For those of you who said you didn't have sufficient light indoors to start many tomato seedlings, have you tried Winter Sowing? It seemed to work very well for me in the last few years. I put the milk jugs out the first of March, they germinate about the first of April and by the first of May I have little tomato "trees" that are very stocky and already hardened off. I also have the shop light on a shelf setup indoors. But the WS allows me to try extra varieties without taking up precious shelf space.
