Becky - I've seen snow in June here. No joke. Traditionally, it's not "spring safe" until after Mother's Day, but last year, winter held on for a few weeks after that, and then even then it wasn't that much of a spring. No spring flowers. We have only 2 seasons here in Denver.. Summer & not quite Summer as winter can be mild (for instance, today it was in the 60s) or it could be harsh (we had a few days where the highs didn't even hit above zero). But it's always dry. And the concept of hummers being winter birds? Can't quite comprehend that.
