Don't disturb the planting site of the (maybe) late Omoshiro. Many of us have had them return when we thought they were dead and gone.

Being in zone 9 you'd spot new growth before my zone 7 ever would. I've never kept records on when they emerge since a very cold spring is not good for clematises but in a warm spring they almost leap out of the good earth.

Maybe it would help if we could all say a prayer to St. Josephine and Omoshiro would pop up to make you smile.
