The Rattlesnakes are pole beans (P. vulgaris) Zipper, Lady, all crowders and Missisippi Silver are southern peas (Vigna unguiculata). The Vigna do not require suuport, but the vines are large so give them plenty of room. They will grow in the hot summer and do not require a lot other than loose soil. They yeild best in relatively poor soil. Rich soil or fertilizer may give you more vines than peas .
