Elaine, it was mounted on a sturdy piece of wood when I bought it and it is still attached to it. I actually have not been rotating it, but it is usually hanging ( during the indoor months) high up fairly close to the glass ceiling. It gets a lot of light in that spot. Outside in Summer I keep not quite that bright, but it still gets very good light in the cage.
Sometimes you just get lucky and not only did you get a good plant, but it also likes your conditions! And this one seems to be bug resistant.
