Julia that is a really lovely color of hellebore. I really love it when they begin to really open up.
I took advantage of the after Valentine's Day sales and am trying miniature roses again. There were four little plants to a pot so I hope they will fill up the patio pots and not succumb to black spot. bought one of each color they had: white, red, peach, pink and striped.
My hellebores are coming into their own now too. Have moved so many around the blooms aren't as big on some plants, but lots of blooms to come yet. Aren't these the best plants? What other perennial will bloom from January until May and a couple of my volunteers will start blooming again in July and August. Some beds I am converting from shade to perennial or combination fruit and hellebores. They aren't looking nearly as good as last year
The pig squeak is also just beginning to bloom
I couldn't pass up this variety of hellebore I stumbled across at Costco. Heck if I know where I will put it may have to put it in a patio pot so I can admire it (and also wait to see where all the hostas are exactly.
Although you can't tell very well, here is an area I am trying to naturalize in snow drops. I maybe adding some Spanish hyathins and daffodils in drifts also. Haven't decided yet.
