It doesn't look tall in an overgrown or unhealthy way like it was etiolating...I see only one side of it but is there a branching that has happened within this one plant? If there is that might be a spot where you can clip it where the branch starts and try to callus that section for rooting. I ask only because the bottom looks less textured than the top like it was two different sections. Also pups can be hidden at very base of the plant or inside amongst branches. Take a closer look if there might be one...they can be quite small.
I have never tried leaf cuttings nor seen any leaf root. I've seen leaves separated from the stem and the leaf where it was attached to the stem is pretty flat and dry...
