The Rose Gentian, Sabatia angularis is native to Texas and other states.

Here in northeast Texas, I begin seeing these blooms in early June. The vivid pink blooms cannot be missed. They grow in an open pasture here, in full sun.

Although this year, a small plant found it's way into the garden, where it is a welcome sight.

May your life be like a wildflower, growing freely in the beauty and joy of each day --Native American Proverb
