I grew Shelter Cove for a couple years. I tell you, on a chilly Ohio morning, that bloom was always wide open by 7 a.m. Amazed me. Part of my plant lived in a friends greenhouse, part planted in my yard. I tried twice to over winter it, and it didn't make it outside. I'd plant it in early spring, it would perform like gangbusters, increase over the summer, and never be seen again. I finally sold the piece that was in the greenhouse, and composted all the seedlings from it. It was one of the few big ruffle edged ones that I really liked.

A friend grows it a few miles from here, and it seems to do ok there.

Here's an early morning photo of it when I had it growing in the ground here.
