Dinu, I think that mesh should be excellent for any vine that climbs using tendrils. I'm not sure if it would work as well for a vine that climbs by twining its whole stem, but perhaps someone with more experience will post a response.

Also, when using a plastic mesh in the garden, I would be careful not to place it close to the ground where snakes might get stuck in the holes. The front of the snake goes through the hole, then its bigger middle section gets wedged, the plastic grips it and it can't back out. Because of this problem, I have stopped using plastic mesh fencing in my garden.
