I started with 15 varieties a few years ago. Kelvin Floodlight (Large yellow dinner plate dahlia) is and was by far the easiest to grow for me. Each individual tuber will multiply into 10 every year if you take good care of it. The progeny from the one clump I started with has now multiplied to over a bushel. The flowers are huge and really draw rave reviews from anyone who likes cut flowers.
