Thanks, since I have my garden in a cage, I decided to try using my guineas to eat the bugs (squash bugs). Guineas don't dig, or eat the plants if there are bugs. I let them in today while I worked in the garden, and they ate some of the leaf cutter ants. Hoorah! Wouldn't it be nice to see them standing over a squash plant and cleaning up all the bugs each day? Anyone know how long squash bug season is in Texas? If it works, then all of you can get a couple. Well, you would have just let them out as needed, because they will eat ripening fruit.
