I love all the photos of cairns. As long as mankind has desired to communicate with each other stone cairns have been used to do so. In this country Native Americans and early settlers used cairns to denote which trail to take, the steepness of the trail ahead, danger ahead, etc. The height of the stones as well as how many small cairns were used and in what direction they were lined up all indicated vital information. I find them fascinating and I think they speak to all of us in more ways than just art......

Thank you for posting pictures, sharing your art and how you created it. smiles
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
