Lin, thank you. You are a doll.

Part of my "problem" is that I do know Latin for some things, as well as common names, and Spanish names.

But what I cant get my head around is why things to not appear alphabetically Confused

At first after I joined, I was looking for roses. So I would put in Rosa plus the name. Most of the time no luck. Then would send a plant proposal, only to have it rejected because it was already there ( ! ) DOH !!!1

So my hard-headedness finally figgered out to go in by genus, then attempt by cultivar name. Better luck but still not perfect.

Here is an example : Spanish lavender.

Today was Lavandula. Then stoechas.

I selected S It brings up two pages. Cultivars seem to be pretty ,uch in alphabetical order.

HOWEVER comma it seems there is no particular order as far as Lavender with (US) or Lavender (UK) . And mixed in is Fernleaf Lavender.

I guess what I am wishing fir is a way to get my list sorted by alph Confused abetical or latin, etc.

I am not a new gardener, but it leaves me feeling bewildered and I can only imagine for a beginner it would be even more confusing.

Confused

I imahine if this were not confusing, the site might get more hits and more members because the search engines would match this site up with more searches Smiling

Thank You! for listening !!!!!!!
At our ranchiito we do NOT keep bees.
They and other critters grace us with their presence, and we provide for their need to the best of our abilities.
