Hi Jeanne -- welcome to our Iris group. I'm not familiar with Katrina Iris either -- also had to Google it. Apparently it's a plant that thrives in heavy clay soil and hot, humid weather. It should be just fine in Alabama. I can't answer your specific questions -- but I suspect that it has gone dormant in the winter weather -- and should come around for you when the weather warms up. Let us know how it does, will you? We can all learn from your Katrina Iris experience!! Green Grin!
