For an older daylily it is not out of line, depends if the person selling is cleaning a bed out like I did recently and sold alot on the LA starting at 1.99 a DBL , but mine were older ones early 90's and back (1969)so I felt my opening bid was more than fair and because I wanted to sell them not keep relisting for months!. Mine were well established clumps, divided in August , not small fans. Ask if they are established .
Though I do not think selling fan by fan is too appealing, nor a good idea . You would want at least a double or 2 fans, single fans can take for ever to bloom, I bought some on the classifieds on DG 2 years ago single fans and some have yet to bloom and we are going on year 3 here! Never again!

The only way I would buy a single is A> IF it is a 2009 or newer and I just had to have it . B> If the fan was blooming sized. Ask about fan size.

Maryotts is having a BOGO sale you may be wise to check it out, Daylily Manor has also slashed thrier prices for this year too , you won't get a bonus from DM but they send nice sized plants. Kathy
