My daughter used some fresh cut crepe myrtle sticks to mark small plants so the lawn mower would not accidentally run over them. A few weeks later - there was a 'miracle tree' which sprouted from one of the cuttings. I will tell her to allow the sticks to dry before using them to mark plants again, thanks for the tip.
