This has been a great topic. I have purchased so many 'blues' only to have them turn out to be shades of purple that I had given up until I could see them growing in someone's garden. It is much like my quest for pink. I amassed so many irises from parchment to peach and lavender that I was fuming. I had to stop depending entirely on pictures and descriptions and see them blooming locally before investing. I know location, soil and length of growing season can make a difference and I do keep that in mind. I have a few blues and pinks now so I am contented. smiles
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
