Myself, I am primarily planting Cherry types.
I have found here in Texas, that many heirloom Tomatos are wastes of space. I stick (mostly) to hybrids for my main crops. I enjoy and sell, the Cherry forms. They keep up with the heat and the colors and shapes amuse me. I sell mixed pints at the farmers market and customers get a kick out of them. I do not bother selling regular tomatos.
Some are not heirloom in the most strict sense but are simply O.P.
This is the first year I am adding the "blue" shades to the mix. I have my doubts but, well, why not? The germination has been awful on these blues for the most part but I suspect this is due to the seed seller being lazy about growing out fresh seed. I hear mixed (mostly bad) reviews of "blue" tomatos. We will see!

Anyway, as I recall, this is what I have been transplanting this past week- these are all Cherry. "New" as you probably would deduce, means I have never grown them and purchased seed.
Yellow Submarine
Purple Bumblebee
Black Cherry
Ivory Pear
Tess's Land race Currant
Chocolate Cherry
Pink Bumblebee
Fat Cherry
White Currant
Fahrenheit Blues (New)
Mexico Midget
Dancing With Smurfs (Ok, only purchased this one because I like the name, lol)(New)
Matt's Wild Cherry
Sugar Plum
Blush
Jelly Bean (New- might be a hybrid, can not remember)
Primary Colors (New)
Green Pear
Yellow Pear (yuck)
Some others that have slipped my mind!
You know what makes me mad? I can not find good 'ol RED Pear seeds anywhere in my collection. Darn, I like that little plain-Jane! I forgot to buy some while I still had time. Oh well...next year.

I do grow the hybrid "Sweet Million"- I like it!

Oh, I am growing Orange and Red Angora because I simply like the fuzzy plants! I grow a few other heirlooms- mostly for the heck of it. Some years I get something out of them, others, not so much.
If any of you know of another odd-ball Cherry type I ought to try, let me know!
