Have you seen the Black Cow compost website where they have a project that shows how to grow tomatoes right out of a compost bag? Reminded me of your bad pinterest idea of grow bags.

You are so right about the $10 holes for planting! I too have made that horrible mistake! I was hoping for the best as you were, Trish, some plants do survive, but most don't. (sigh) Amend, amend, amend!
