You are right, the photo was taken during that 10 day trip in 2008 to build Carol's memory garden. In the evenings I was taken into the wilds where I photographed every plant I could find that was unique and unusual to me, in locations around Seward, mostly south of Anchorage. At the time I was told only that it was wild columbine. At the end of the trip one of several gifts to me was a book of Alaska's wildflowers. When I came home I matched my photos to the images and botanical names that appeared in the book.

I suspect Lori is right and it's entirely possible that the error occurred somehow from my end, but I need to look again in the book to be sure. I'll be out of town tomorrow but if you don't mind waiting a day or two, I'll take a look when I return and will let you know what I find. It's been so long I can't tell you much more than that about it.
