Jules, I like th explanation on the polymerous link about the difference between a poly and a double. " Polymerous daylilies have the extra sepals and petals evenly spaced in their respective whorls, unlike double daylilies in which the extra petals or petaloid stamens are stacked upon or lie above the ordinary petals." Never knew exactly how to put it into words, but I know when I see one like the Merry Moppet above that it's trying to double not be a poly.
