I like to keep a bottle of ammonia in the garage so when I see one under a flower pot or climbing up the side of the house I can spray him dead. They dissolve right away.
I did a 20% mixture as an experiment last year when I found they were climbing up the stalks and eating holes in my daylily flowers. I sprayed into the crown and around the outside where I thought they would hide or lay eggs and it solved the problem.
I would never be without it. Thanks for sharing this wonderful tip!
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Mat.6:28-29
