Beautiful, Lindsey and Susan. I like that Amber Rhum, too, even though it's spotched right now. I find that the FFOs sometimes are much different from the true flowers that later bloom. Do you both agree? Why is that? Is it the adjustment to the dirt and growing conditions, light, humidity, all of the above or what?

When Vampires Roar was a purchased gift to DH last year for his birthday. He had seen it at Singing Oakes when he went down to pick up plants for our local club auction and raved about it. Well, this year's FFO he vows is not the plant he saw and I'm preaching patience to see what other blooms look like. I have it clearly marked and at $60 a pop, I took extra care to mark it well! We'll see. When I have time today, IF I have time, I'll do a collage with the Singing Oakes photo and my photo for comparison. He may not be remembering it as it truly is.

Did I already post Emperor's Dragon? If not, here it is:

I think that if ever a mortal heard the voice of God it would be in a garden at the cool of the day. ~F. Frankfort Moore, A Garden of Peace
