Still watching the snow melt here in the mountains, and it is melting big time. However, you guys are so much further ahead of me with your gardens. All that frost so far down in the ground from days of arctic temps this Winter, is now turning into mud. Which is why we call this 'mud season' here in the mountains. Almost got stuck in a muddy tire track trying to get back into my garage yesterday. I drive a little red sports car which is very low to the ground compounding the problem. Weather here in the past week has been so nice. Temps in the 40's and today low 50's with abundant sunshine. Only about 1/2 of my hillside garden is exposed, the rest is still covered in snow, and melting snowbanks. (But that's progress, folks!…and I am so excited.) It will take a few more weeks before I can even think about getting my hands into the soil. Spring skiing is fantastic this year. Meanwhile, I have been working with my new dl seedlings here in the house, and yesterday started my tomato seeds for the veggie garden which won't be planted until the 1st week in June.

Watching the snow melt has given me time to do my taxes(ugh), pay bills, and oddly enough immersed in this missing Malaysian plane. It is unfathomable to me how a 777 with 239 people aboard can just disappear into thin air without a trace. Just a horrible tragedy for the families of the missing passengers and crew. It just seems we go from crisis to crisis these days. Will be glad to get back into the garden where the sounds of silence will be cathartic and restorative to my soul. Sending big bear hugs to all of my friends here on ATP. Group hug Group hug Group hug Group hug
