I own a 'Bichetii' Spider Plant. It is not the same species as the more well-known 'Spider Plant' which is Chlorophytum comosum; it's Cholorphytum laxum. They don't produce 'spiderettes' (babies) that C. comosum produces. It doesn't seem to get all that big either. I've had it for a few months now and while the root system keeps "exploding" on me (I've repotted it twice in those few months), it really hasn't gotten any bigger than it was at purchase. Here's a couple pictures of mine.
