Mine (at least) has multiple plants in the pot. They appear to produce new plants from the underneath the soil and it fills up the pot over time. I believe they might be like Sanseveria (I've never split mine up), in that they may be connected somehow under the soil, but you can "pop" them apart. I actually have a "baby" forming on my 'Green Bonnie' Spider Plant that is emerging from the soil line. So in addition to "spiderettes", I guess it's possible to get a new plant from the more common 'Spider Plants' from the base of the plant as well. I hope this answers your question! I've never seen an 'Ocean' Spider Plant, I will have to look that one up!
