Caroline, I'm happy to see this thread again. I was actually trying to remember the species of some Penstemons in the garden just yesterday, and just saw it on this thread! I got away from the garden for a couple of years, and have been working for the last year to reclaim it. Happy to report the gardens are looking better than ever, and after taking a long break from seed starting, I have wintersown seeds again this year! Glad the information on Phlomis tuberosa was helpful. Those I started that year are still returning- just found them sprouting a couple of days ago.

Karen, I loved those Irish Eyes Rudbeckia! As I recall those from the seed you sent all had green eyes. I didn't save seeds from them, but bought some this year- one of the jugs I have sown outside Smiling
