JB,
I realize I had forgotten to look up "Streptocarpus" from your last post. I have seen a couple of those online (a number of AV growers tend to grow those too it looks like), but I've never seen one here in town before. They look furry, do they have hair? lol.

I understand, at that point when you're running out of space, you have to do something with the extras. Honestly, I only have one "girl friend," and she doesn't like plants, so if I was ever to become over-run, I don't know what I'd do... I might have to sell some plants myself!. My MIL has killed a couple of plants that I gave her (including my first Hoya carnosa 'Krimson Queen', the one outside right now is a replacement) and my Mother isn't into getting bombarded with plants. She has a 'Janet Craig' and a 'Marble Queen' Pothos and I think she's fine with that, no more lol. I know my MIL didn't mean to kill those plants, she just has a lot already as it is and she had nowhere to put them. She thought by covering them up outside, they'd be okay, but we had snow and an ice storm two weeks apart that killed practically everything. Even her 'Asparagus Ferns' that she's had longer than Hubby and I have been together didn't make it.

That doesn't sound like too much work, getting certified and having an annual inspection. I bet seeing him "inspecting" with the magnifying glass is a bit funny to watch though. I am not good with Thanksgiving Cacti. I've tried three and while the first one exploded with growth (sad story to that one), the other two just "sat" there for a year. Nothing. I think I keep them too wet, don't place them in the right potting mix, I'm not sure. I have given up, but I'm okay with that. I also can't grow Sansevieria ('Snake Plant') or ZZ Plants. I've wiped my hands clean and I grow what likes me lol.

Jasmine, those are the "smell good" plants right? I've seen 'Goldfish Plants' in town before, I love their flowers, but I've never tried one. I have two Optimara AVs that are blooming their heads off, I just love flowers.

Thanks, as you've noticed already I like to talk a lot (and I get off topic it seems). Nothing better than sharing your love of plants with other friendly people who also love plants. Green Grin!
