Were the new additions that were lost planted in the spring or later in the year?
Were the fans that were lost on plants that were not entirely lost, smaller immature fans or larger mature fans?
In terms of replacements - if the seller does not indicate that they have a replacement policy I have also found that usually means they will not replace plants.
