Tracey - I had originally ordered the ITOH Singing in the rain about 4 years ago from Park Seed. I had it in the pot for the first 2 years, and then into the ground in the third year. It bloomed in its 4th year - but it certainly was not Singing in the Rain. I was initially really disappointed because I planted it in my "red, yellow, orange" section of the garden and the lilac color did not go with the theme. But, later on, someone pointed out that the purplish color was picked up by the silene diocia and the azalea further to the right, so it was not totally out of place.
I have since developed a fondness for it.
it still clashes with the red charm next to it, but oh, well........
