I have grown daylilies in pots for 20 years and this is the first time I have ever lost any due to the weather, I consider myself lucky when I think of all the farmers that have lost everything due to no rain over the past couple of years. Anytime we plant something we are at the mercy of Mother Nature and she's not getting any kinder. The real thing that bothers myself is having to tell people they will not be getting something they have been expecting for several months. Most really want their daylilies and not a refund because they had plans for using them in one form or another.
On a lighter note, I have scape's everywhere which are well over a month late, the upside is I will see daylilies blooming later in the year than normal.
