"There's going to be some yummy purple hull venison this fall, I'm thinking!"

How true! And they know how to pick it to perfection, too.

I broke down and bought a product called "Liquid Fence" a month ago. It's your typical egg/garlic mix but it works great! Sprayed it once so far and no deer eating my produce. Even spraying the perimeter of the garden area helped.

Also, last year I ended up buying an electric bean/pea sheller. I'm impressed with it. Fairly inexpensive and does a bushel in about 30 minutes or less. Works with butter peas and lima's, too. You should put one on your wish list.
