I'm seeing this Iris everywhere now.. Here's a blogger in Texas:

Also look at 'The Knockout', and 'Oregon Sunshine' on Bluebirdhaven Iris.. Although I don't think either of these are right.

I also ran across 'New Dawn' (Burgess 1936), not sure if the beard is dark enough.
