Bev, that's exactly what's happening.I have little ones popping up out of the pea gravel all over.I just figured let it grow when it's big enough dig it up & put it somewhere else.

The place that Lily picked to toss the sarmentosum is hard, rocky ground.Hopefully it will just keep going and serve as a great ground cover with a bright yellow surprise when it blooms. Once it comes out of dormancy & gets going good it runs. In the fall the runners die back or i thought so.I removed the runners and Lily hauled them off in her little wheel barrel.I can't believe the dead looking runners came back.

We had one of the worse winters in a long time and the sarmentosum never died back completely but turned the prettiest color. Also remember Greg suggested i add some 'angelina' to keep some color on the stump all winter.
Here's what kind of winter we had,you can't even tell where the edges of the bed is.

Here's the sarmentosum with a pretty peachy color to it before it turns green.

All the rain really washes the stump.Last year i put more on it but i think if i just let it cover the stump itself it may not wash as badly with it being more established.
A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!
