Dave, I'm not sold on it being Alice Harding. From what pics I can find, Alice is more "yellow", and , as Debra remarked earlier in the thread, the beards are more "golden", or orange. The noid seems to me to have lighter colored beards, that lighten even more towards the outer end. Alice is one I'm adding this year, and I already grow a start of Deb's noid, so with any luck, I'll know for sure next year. But , I think I will keep looking for some more info on Gibralter ( PBF ? rebloom ?, etc). Another strike against it being Alice (in my opinion anyway) is that Alice is a widely grown iris, and any tendency for possible rebloom should , or would have been mentioned, if it was there, and I have seen no references to it. As I said, there were a boatload of light yellows from this timeframe, and an I.D. isn't going to come very easy! But that's what makes it so much fum !
