Huh. I have a Ribes sanguineum which I purchased from a local native plant nursery. It has a very vivid reddish-pink bloom (see below). This matches up with all the native web sites I've looked at, and there are some growing in the wild on Camano Island that are of the same eye-catching hot pink/red color. I decided I needed a couple more. At the nursery, they pointed me to some very pale pink ribes, assuring me it was the native form. It was pretty, but more of a graduated pale pink to white, not at all what I have. When I got home, I did some research and it appears they are selling R. sanguineum 'Glutinosum' or some similar cultivar and touting it as the native form. Wonder who checks on all this stuff? And wonder how many mis-marked plants I've purchased over the years...

@Springcolor, this was at The Plant Farm, what has been your experience with their stock? They are not my first choice but it was raining today and they have that nice covered pavillion...
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
