Ken, that garden and yard are gorgeous! Neat shade panel!

>> same ole Rick.

It would take longer than 1-2 weeks to unpack all the nuts out of my head! Thanks for the welcome-back, everyone. My SO and a friend went to Estes Park (Rocky Mountain National Park) for 3-4 days. Then I got an extension on my vacation and took more time up there.

Seeing the Olympic and Cascade ranges every day (from a distance), I thought I knew what "mountains" looked like. Nope.

Driving in, we followed Big Thompson River, or Big Thompson Valley. Yikes! It was like standing at the bottom of an elevator shaft and looking straight up, but the walls were like a geology class. Plus, they had had a significant flood just a few days before, and many things had been undermined. I saw two manufactured homes that looked like someone had flung a dollhouse across the room.

One house put up a big piece of plywood in their front yard, painted "THANKS, road crews!"
