So right Debra. If it weren't for the little guys I would not have had so many iris blooms already. And SDB's take up less space so you can buy more and they tolerate more shade and drought and still bloom more regularly. It is so exciting to see masses of blooms on these short stalks and by the time you realize the majority of your SDB's have bloomed you will have bloom stalks on your TB's. It is like they are the opening act and what an act they are!!! And they make great front row irises in iris gardens. Really fun stuff and gives you reasons to acquire more and of course you have to have more TB's then to stand proud behind the short guys and keep the blooms coming. I love the extended bloom season the SDB's give me.
