Mine do well in a huge pot. When I tried them in the ground they died out despite lots of sun water and legroom.

Also in my experience they do not like to be divided or moved. Mine sulked and did not bloom the year after I potted it up even though it literally broke out of its previous pot.

I think they bloom best when they have made friends - a clump that is. Big Grin
