I don't know what the summer average temps are, I do know that we are quite humid here on Long Island. But it is no wear near as hot as you guys get. We do get lots of rain most springs and this spring is no exception.

I don't fertilize much. I fertilize all the daylilies in the spring with a bagged fertilizer usually Plant Tone. This spring I did use Flower Tone instead. Then after bloom season I give them a good dose of Neptunes Liquid Seaweed Fertilizer.
