Hi,
These photos from UBC are actually Azorella trifurcata, not Bolax gummerifera - these are another couple of species for which the photo record is very mixed up.

Here are comments from Brent Hine, plant curator(?) at UBC discussing the misidentification of this particular plant in the UBC rock garden:

Azorella trifurcata has yellow flowers and the distinctive, trifurcated foliage shown in the photos you found. Bolax gummerifera has white flowers and very different foliage characteristics. Azorella trifurcata also extremely hardy (I grow it here in zone 3) and easy to grow, whereas Bolax gummerifera is difficult and very much one for the experts.
