I find it useful to know if others in my area have had success with a plant, and the closest city is probably more helpful than county. I live in a large county that has many microclimates - from salt water coast to river valleys to mountains - all with different growing conditions.

We do somewhat have this information in the form of "members who have this plant" if they are tracking their plants on ATP. I often will open that screen up to see where folks live (if they have provided that information) and occasionally to send a tree-mail to someone close to me with a specific question about a plant I am considering. To save time, could the database pull the zip code or city information when a member adds a plant to their list? And have an option for those who are not tracking plants or wish to remain anonymous to add a zip/city report.

On a similar note, it would be interesting to know where a particular plant originated from (country or region) which can also be useful to figure out how it might grow in your area. This would obviously be a different addition.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
