My day temps never go below freezing. Sometimes, the night temps will reach the single digits, but most of the time they are in the low 20s to low teens. What made this year unusual for me is that we had about a foot of snow the Friday before Thanksgiving which did not melt until January. Usually, at my elevation, snow melts within a couple of days.
There was no rain or snow in all of December and January. I actually had to pull the hoses out from under the house and water because even tho' I had snow cover, the soil under the soil was completely dry.
I never, ever, imagined myself wearing snow boots and multiple layers of clothing and going out to water.
