Hi Gloria - there are many different types of hibiscus so a 'one size fits all' care won't really work. We have a lot of very knowledgeable hibiscus growers here so pretty much all we need to help you out is to know what kind of hibiscus you have.

For example, I grow Tropical Hibiscus, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Red Leaf Hibiscus, Hibiscus acetosella, and Hardy Hibiscus, Hibiscus moscheutos to name a few. Each species have different requirements.

If you don't know what kind of hibiscus you have, a picture of the flower and leaves would help us determine what kind you have.

I suggest you start a new thread to get you started.
