This year, I have a great interest in obtaining named Iris. In the past few years, that interest centered on Daylilies. With a small yard, if I want to bring in Iris, I have to ship out...yep, Daylilies. I will trade two named Daylily fans for one rhizome of a named Iris on the list. You can choose a 2-fan single name as listed, or combine any two single fans of different Daylilies to make the exchange. For example, you can get 2 fans of Marse Connell for one rhizome of Double Your Fun, or combine one fan of Bill Fall and one fan of Easy Ned in exchange for one of Stars and Stripes Forever.

The TBD designation in the Available Quantity field means I KNOW I have that plant, but the markers were moved and I want to let it bloom to make sure I have it right before adding a specific quantity. If you see a Daylily you want, but don’t have any of the Iris from the list, I still have quite a few on my ATP ‘Wants’ list, you can check there. The trade thread will be posted on both ATP and Cubits.

Fans are trimmed, washed, rinsed in bleach solution, dried, then wrapped in paper as they are packed. Ship costs can be paid by PayPal, check, or money order, whichever is easiest for you. I can pay postage on the Iris coming back to me by PayPal or check. (I don’t drive anymore, so a money order would be impractical.) Please understand that I am on a limited, fixed income and can’t absorb unpaid shipping costs, so the spreadsheet will record if no postage reimbursement is received. If you are unfamiliar with me from ATP or Cubits and want to confirm my reliability, I have been selling tchotchkes and such on eBay for several years under user ID nickelbay23. Not plants, true, but I am really good at order fulfillment/shipping. :D

I understand that Iris are usually dug in July/August to give rhizomes time to rest. If you want to wait until then, I can wait to receive. If you want to ship earlier, that would be great, too. My shipping has to be finished by mid-June (too hot for me after that). The spreadsheet will be revised as people speak up, so check it before posting a request, please? If I happen to get two or more requests for the same thing, the fan(s) will go to the person with the earliest time/date posting. Happy to answer any questions. Thank you for enabling...um, helping me in this adventure quest (is that redundant?).
It’s okay to not know all the answers.
