I plant only NOID's in the backyard because of that sweet little Koko, who loves to bury her toys in my beds
I just bought two big pots of NOID arach's to plant there. So it's like the graveyard of the unknown fallen semps. I like how freeing it is when a bird or worm moves a semp to just go "oh well, I'll just stick it here!" Unlike my front yard... there is one bed where some critter (worms, I think) insist on flipping newly planted semps up. I use old fashioned prong-like hair pins (not bobby pins) to anchor the semps down. On the larger ones, I slip it under the semp and anchor the roots. On the small ones I use it like a prone and anchor it down from the top. Sometimes they still manage to get them up, but this usually works really well.
