They are the plant of the future, I read that nurseries in Florida are propagating them by the thousands. I hope they all make it through this bad bad winter.
Buying online from Thailand or someplace is risky. Sellers can alter photos, and you have no recourse. Also, seed is viable for only a few short weeks, so seed from Asia is probably old.
I bet you'll start seeing Desert Roses here and there now that you are aware of them.
They don't tolerate temperatures much below 55.
