Lynn, I have some in the ground along my driveway, they seem to be doing good, but remember, I'm in S.Florida, I think most of these good folks have them in pots, I also thing that most buy full grown plants, well, not FULL grown, but at least a few years old. In this area both home depot and Lowe's carries them on occasion. We have one member who keeps her plant on a window sill and managed to get it to produce a seed pod, If our good friend Wilfred can locate this cubit? thread?room?or whatever it's called, he can and will guide you in how to care for your desert rose.
