We get plenty of the freezes here...it's an altitude thing. We are truly in the Hill Country of Texas. Last winter, of course, was an aberration, with lower temps than I'd seen in a long time. The nurseries did well in the spring, sold lots of plants to replace what died (or what people thought had died), either from severe drought (ended in the fall last year) or from cold. Many plants just came up extremely late this year, from the roots.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
